A musician and maker of objects in wood and other materials, I was very fortunate to discover this complex and fascinating craft, and soon found  my ideal learning environment with two professional tutors in Newark-on-Trent. This was in 2010-2011.

Returning to Fife I set up my workshop, where I produced a total of 33 instruments - 25 full size violins, 5 violas and 3 smaller violins, many of which have unique carved heads.

It is now August 2026 - as you may have read on home page, I am now retired, and can report with great pleasure that all but a few of my instruments are now in the hands of players in the UK and USA.
